DEMI ANAIS is a genre-agnostic Filmmaker and SAG-AFTRA Stunt Performer with a passion for creating immersive, character-driven films.
Demi was formally introduced to filmmaking while attending The Willow High School. She was a student in their four year Media Arts program (2009 - 2013) through which she was able to make two award winning films, 'WhatA You See Is What You Get' (2012) & 'Asking Amber' (2013).
In college, Demi began working as a background extra and after graduating in 2017 from Tulane University with her Finance degree, began workin as a Production Assistant. In 2018, she joined the Camera department and eventually joined IATSE Local 600 in 2021.
In 2022, after four years of set work and independent study, Demi took a step an outside of the camera department to learn as a Director's Assistant. Demi completed her 3rd short film 'Vodou' in 2023. That same year Demi also became a Stunt Performer and Videographer.
In 2024, ‘Vodou’ was selected for several film festivals including Essence Film Festival, The Smithsonian Museum of African American History & Culture’s FORWARD Film Festival, and the New Orleans Film Festival. That year Demi also joined SAG-AFTRA as Stunt Performer.
In 2025, Demi participated in NAACP’s Cinematic Shorts Competition where she completed her 4th short film, ‘Borrowed Time’. She followed up the program with her 5th short film, ‘Radical Delusion’.
Currently, Demi is in the financing stage of development for her next film, a Sci-Fi short titled ‘Memory Walk’.
